DISCOVER MAGAZINE

The lay science magazine Discover ran a story about ocean plankton
and iron fertilization in its October 2003 edition entitled
"Watery Grave." While the story provides a degree of
journalistic balance it squarely comes down as opposed to
the mitigation of global climate change in the 70+% of the world
that is covered by water.

Discover unfortunately missed or chose to obfuscate the reality
and extent of the global and ocean crisis we face.

We responded to Discover and publish our open letter to them here.

Planktos Iron Ex. 1
July 7, 2002

The first Planktos experiment!

On June 22 Planktos scientists aboard the 100-year-old wooden schooner
SV Ragland successfully deployed iron micro-nutrients across a 50 kilometer
swath of ocean approximately 300 miles east of the Hawaiian Islands in a
methods & materials experiment that vindicated the Planktos diffusion technology.
